Okay, so hormones seem to be receding and the sun is coming out again. And here is my list of 5 things to do in the next week or so to make myself feel better.

1.) Rummage through the cabinet and find a hot oil treatment for my hair. It really, really needs it.

2.) Call the beauty parlor tonight and make an appointment to get a trim early tomorrow.

3.) Follow [livejournal.com profile] krislaugh's advice and make sure I get at LEAST a walk a day, if not more exercise than that. Because I should anyway, and it really does lift the mood.

4.) Finish the Harry-Patronus-Remus fic. I'm really, really, really, really liking how this one is coming along. I mean, really liking it. Liking it enough that I might actually get a beta for it, because it's short (um, for me, that is) and I think I'd really like to make sure this one shines. Anyone want to beta sometime next week? It's gen, with possible insinuations of Remus/Sirius.

5.) Get involved in the church musical. I was doing much better when I had youth group on Wednesday nights.

BONUS) When hubby's gone next week, make Strawberry Spinach salad and have the WHOLE BOWL to myself. Hahahahhaha! (Like he'd ever mind that anyway.)

So there's my 5-ways-of-cheering-myself-up-list.

Strawberry Spinach Salad
Very few calories, no fat.
It sounds wierd, but trust me. This is pure heaven.

Salad:
1 bag of baby spinach, pre-washed.
1 quart strawberries, washed, hulled, and quartered.
2 tbsp slivered or sliced almonds

Dressing:
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp basalamic vinegar
1.5 tsp olive oil
1 Tbsp minced red onion
1/4 tsp paprika
1/8 tsp salt

Toss salad ingredients together. Combine dressing ingredients; mix well. Pour dressing over salad, toss.

The salad does get a little soggy if you let it sit overnight, but it still tastes pretty darn good.

I LOVE strawberry spinach salad! With a little brie on the side... Of course, that defeats the purpose of the fat free salad, but whatever. Yummy. :)
