ignipes. Completely, 100% gen, so even if you aren't a R/S shipper, go read anyways. (Actually, I probably wouldn't recommend it if it wasn't gen, because I have this belief that Sirius-running-away-from-home-fic SHOULD be gen, so...) Very well written, understated, and excellent characterization of Sirius's parents. (And Regulus the history buff, which is a characterization I'm very, very rapidly becoming fond of and was using myself for AIL 10. But let's be serious- a kid who can figure out about horcruxes probably is a history buff. Or something.)
Enough babbling: go read. I've always enjoyedignipes's writing, and this is possibly one of my favorite subjects in fandom, so of course I'll pimp it, but I think it's well worth the pimp.
